Joe & Steve warmly welcome you to the Arden Arms,
Stockport, voted Greater Manchester's Regional Pub of the Year in
the 32nd edition of the Good Beer Guide published by the Campaign
for Real Ale (CAMRA).

in 2004, placing the 'Arden' in the top four pubs in Britain as

These awards are based on criteria including the
quality of beer, customer service, decor & value for money.
See
CAMRA's awards page here.
The Arden is a gem of a pub, an early 19th century coaching inn
set on the edge of Stockport's historic Market Place. Why not read
our history page to learn more about our pub's fascinating past.
The Good Beer Guide describes the pub as "Grade II listed
& warranting a visit for the building alone" ,The
Guide continues " Note the fine bar, tiled lobby, grandfather
clock & splendid snug" Although we would be delighted
if you'd stay for a pint & a spot of lunch as well!
|
The pub features traditional hand pulled beers from
Stockport's Robinsons Brewery and an extensive range of wine, spirits,
liqueurs and soft drinks. Lunches are served every day of the week
and are of a very high quality ( Joe & Steve formerly ran a
successful Manchester restaurant, That Cafe in
Levenshulme) . Choose a bowl of home made soup, a sandwich or a
three course meal and enjoy it in front of the two real fires in
winter or in the sunny cobbled courtyard in the summer. |
|
In the evening, the pub becomes a meeting place for
many local societies & organisations, has a regular weekly charity
quiz night & supports a thriving darts team. The pub also attracts
a local gay crowd, particularly at the weekends.
Please enjoy the website and pay us a visit when you are next in
Stockport! |
